The firm’s work is guided by a vision of modern living and grounded in a responsibility to the environment, the community and our clients. The firm’s design methodology considers the full spectrum of architectural issues, including interior and landscape design, and integrates creative problem solving with a meticulous attention to detail. The firm has received awards for excellence in architecture, landscape design and historic preservation.


Principal J. Chris Evans is an architect and architectural historian with more than 20 years of professional experience. His interest in sustainable design has led to several innovative projects, including the first new-generation green roof in southern Arizona. He has also been a leading advocate for the preservation of mid-20th century Modern architecture in Tucson. He was a co-founder and past president of the Modern Architecture Preservation Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, where his work received the Governor’s Heritage Preservation Honor Award, one of the state’s highest preservation honors. In addition, he was previously a member of the University of Arizona faculty, and has been actively engaged in the community on a range of urban planning issues. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science in Architecture Studies from MIT.
